New beginners course in Lindy Hop starts on Monday 6 January 2020

at The Elms, Unthank Road, Norwich NR2 2PL

 

Please note that there are just two more weeks (Mondays 2 and 9 December)

before our Christmas break when we will be offering a fun lesson and extended freestyle,

starting off with the Shim Sham on Monday 2 December

 

This year’s Swing City Christmas Dance will held at The Assembly House, Norwich

on Sunday 15 December when we have the fabulous ‘Laura B and her Band’,

but please note that tickets are available only in advance.

Friendly Classes

Swing City teaches fun swing dancing classes in Norwich on Monday nights. We're beginner-friendly so you can learn with us whatever your experience, and you don't need a partner to join in.

What Is Swing Dancing?

Swing dance is a group of dances that developed with the swing style of jazz music in the 1920s-1950s. Perhaps the best known of these dances is the Lindy Hop, a popular partner dance that originated in 1920s Harlem and is still popular around the world today.
